Why Life Groups?
At Sardis Fellowship we believe that doing life together in community is vital to life with Jesus. People need meaningful connection with others where they can grow in their faith journey and experience God's love through fellowship.
What is a Life Group?
Life groups offer flexibility for people to meet according to what works in their season of life, whether weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly; whether over a shared potluck meal with kiddos running around, in a living room studying the bible or going through other content, at a coffee shop catching up on how life is going, or at the church praying for each other.
The whole point is doing life together so that we can know and be known, feel a sense of belonging, and live out God's purpose for our lives together as we grow on the journey with Jesus.
Throughout the year we give opportunities for people to grow in their walk with Jesus through various retreats, seminars, and focus groups. There are a variety of discipleship topics covered in these - everything from “How to read your Bible” to “Discovering Your Calling” to “Raising a Family” to “Soul Forming Practices” to “Ministry Matching” to understanding specific biblical and theological topics. We all need moments to intentionally grow in our journey through learning and experiencing together in community. So keep your eye on the church calendar to see when our next one is coming up so that you can be a part of Sardis Grow.
Essentials Course
The Essentials Course is an introduction to the Christian faith written by Dave Lee and Peter Kenniphaas, that covers what we at Sardis Fellowship believe to be the most vital aspects of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
The ten video sermons correspond with nine printable bible studies that are designed to be worked through with a friend.
We invite you to view the Sermons, and check out the printable Bible Studies and complete them with a friend, as you seek to understand more about what it means to follow Jesus.
